2.2 System Concept
W1310R is specially designed for user authentication, authorization and management. The user account information
is stored in the local database or a specified external databases server. The user authentication is processed via the
SSL encrypted web interface. This interface is compatible to most desktop devices and palm computers. The
following figure is an example of W1310R set to control a part of the company’s intranet. The whole managed
network includes the cable network users and the wireless network users.
The users located at the managed network will be unable to access the network resource without permission. When
the browser of a user attempts to connect to a website, the W1310R will force the browser to redirect to the user
login webpage. The user must enter the username and password for authentication. After the identity is
authenticated successfully, the user will gain proper access right defined on the W1310R.
