Installation Manual Page 31 of 49 MICRORAY
Column dimensions
The columns are available in 3 heights:
1m
2m
3m
Their diameter is 180mm
Ray orientation/rotation
The angle of rotation of each individual ray is about + 11° horizontally and + 11° vertically.
Ray Size
The ray is expressed with a maximum diameter of about 40/50 cm, for a distance between the
two columns of 100 meters.
Ground conditions
It is advisable that the ground is regular and that there is a clear line of visibility without
obstacles between the two columns. If the ground has holes or depressions, intrusion
attempts may not be detected. Conversely, any objects that may obstruct one or more rays
could cause undesired alarms.
Presence of obstacles
In the event that the barrier is installed very close to the metal fences, the fence itself must be
carefully fixed, so that the wind does not cause great movement;
Trees, hedges, bushes, vegetation in general, require particular attention if they are near the
protection beam.
These obstacles are variable elements in terms of size and position, potentially causing
ray interruptions if not properly maintained.
Installation indications
It is important to design the perimeter protection by dividing the barriers so that they take into
account the management needs of the entire plant.
Besides not being necessary, overlaps and crossings with MICRO-RAY are not suggested.
Below are some useful instructions for setting up your installation without unexpected
events.
Installation along the fence/wall
Installation along perimeters with sides greater than 100m can be carried out in “back to back”
mode by positioning column “A” and column “B” parallel to the wall/fence (fig. 8a) or diagonally
(fig. 8b).

NB: Configure barriers with Barrier Number in sequence, as above, to automatically set
radiofrequency channels.
