To determine where the right side is focusing:
• Hold a piece of white paper parallel to the screen surface at the right side (and as close to the vertical
center as possible), then move closer to the projector while watching the image on the paper.
• If focus on the paper improves, this indicates the right side of the image is focusing in front of the
screen (Figure 2-39).
• If focus on the paper worsens, this indicates the right side of the image is focusing behind the screen.
• If the image comes into focus on both sides simultaneously, left/right boresight is fine. Proceed to
Step 7.
3. Adjust the horizontal boresight bolt (Figure 2-40) to
direct or "aim" the lens toward the side of the image,
which focused too close to the lens. When both sides
appear equally blurry, re-focus on the left side of the
screen.
4. Adjust horizontal offset to re-center the image on the
screen.
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until both sides are well-focused.
6. Adjust the "hold" screw to lock in place.
Recheck boresight.
