Backplane and Enclosures
The backplane provides connectivity between the CPU enclosures and I/O enclosures.
It also has two serial ports, COM1 and COM2. The following sections describe the
backplanes for ftServer V 200 and V 400 systems and ftServer V 100 systems.

Figure A-1 illustrates the front of ftServer V 200 and V 400 systems. The figure shows
the CPU, core I/O, and expansion I/O enclosures in a backplane with the bezel pulled
forward.
