Keyboard - Windows 8
The main difference between the Windows 7 & Windows 8 keyboards is in the func-
tion of the Windows Logo Key & Menu/Application Key (in the Start screen), oth-
erwise the keyboard functions are identical (see “Keyboard - Model A Designs I &
II” on page 1 - 15/“Keyboard - Model A Design III” on page 1 - 16/“Keyboard -
Models B & C” on page 1 - 17).

The function/hot key indicators function in the same manner as outlined for Windows
7 on “Function/Hot Key Indicators” on page 1 - 18. However the indicators work
under the Desktop App (see “Desktop Application” on page E - 4) and not under the
Start screen.

Menu/Application

When the Desktop app
is running you can use
the Menu/Application
key on the key-
board to display the
context menu as per a
mouse right-click. In
the Start screen this
function is useful to
quickly display the All
Apps icon.
