1955-1957 Exhaust Systems
These exhaust systems, manufactured by Schafer’s Classic Reproductions, are available in heavy 16 gauge aluminized
steel tubing with aluminized (inside and outside) mufflers or in 304 grade stainless steel with stainless steel mufflers.
The mufflers are the correct sizes: 23" body size for 1955, 1956 and 1957 Convertibles. 1957 Sedans and Hardtops
have a 29" body size. All of the tailpipes are notched at the tips like the originals. Each system includes the exhaust
header pipes and the two header pipe flange gaskets as required. Heat risers must be ordered separately.
Other features:
• All tubes are Mandrel bent. No kinks in the bends, no flat spots or reduction in the tube diameter in the bends.
• All pipes are bent on a C.N.C. tube bending machine like the OEM’s use. Quality is assured through computerized
measurement systems after the pipe is bent.
• 1957 Exhaust header pipes are formed like the original pipes using a one piece formed pipe which reduces the
chance of exhaust leakage between the exhaust pipe and the exhaust manifold.
Clamp / Hanger Kits are available in cadmium, and stainless will be available soon. Prices start at $60.00.
Exhaust systems are available for all body styles, 6 cylinder or V8, and single or dual exhaust.
Aluminized kit prices range from $177 to $490. Stainless kits start at $415.

Obviously, gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
Nevertheless, each year lives and property are lost
due to careless handling of gasoline around collector
vehicles. NEVER use an incandescent light anywhere
around gasoline or fuel tanks… including trouble
lights. Cool gasoline will cause a hot light bulb to
explode, which can be fatal. Unless you know exactly
how to safely remove or repair a used gas tank, leave
that job to professionals.
