CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The beauty of slow cooking is that you wind up with just one pot to clean.
1. Unplug Slow Cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. CAUTION:
Insert handles become very hot during cooking. If handling before the unit has
cooled, use potholders.
2. Never immerse base in water or other liquids. To clean the base and temperature
control knob, if necessary, wipe with a clean damp cloth.
3. The cooking insert and lid are top rack dishwasher-safe. They can also be washed by
hand in warm soapy water. The base is not dishwasher-safe.
4. If food residue sticks or burns onto cooking insert surface, remove it from base, ll
with warm soapy water, and let soak before cleaning. If scouring is necessary, use a
nylon scrubbing pad or brush with liquid detergent or a nonabrasive cleaner.
5. Be sure all parts are clean and dry before storing.
6. To store, place cooking insert inside the base and the lid over the insert. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the appliance; keep it loosely coiled.
7. Store the Slow Cooker in its box or in a clean, dry place.
