Starting-up
the unit
O
NON.STICKCOATING
Lightly
grease
the baking surfaces before the unit
is
used
for the first time.
Use
the appliance
for about
10 minutes with the burgers, boneless
pieces
of meat
,
thin cuts of
meat
or
vegetables surfaces closed
(see
"using
the unit"). Then wipe it down with a damp cloth.

Please do not eat the first burgers, boneless
pieces
of
meat
,
thin
cuts
ofmeat or vegetables
you
make.
Using the unit,

.
Place the Grill on a flat heatproof surface, close to a

1 20V-outlet.
2.
Plug into outlet. The red
'Power'
light will come on and
the
green 'Ready'
light
goes
off.
Preheat until
the
green 'Ready'
light comes on.
NOTE: Once
preheated,
the
green 'Ready'
light
will
go
on and offas
the thermostat regulates the
temperature.
3.
Place the burgers, boneless
pieces
of meat
,
thin cuts of meat or
vegetables on the Bottom
Cooking Plate and close
the Top Cooking Plate.
The Floating Hinge will adjust
to the height of
the
burgers,
boneless
pieces
of
meat
,
thin cuts of meat or vegetables
and the weight of
the Top
Plate will
gradually
and evenly
press
the burgers,
boneless
pieces
of meat
,
thin cuts of meat or
vegetables down during cooking.
4. The
grilling
time
will
depend on
the t)?e and thickness
ofburgers, boneless
pieces ofmeat,
thin
cuts
of meat or vegetables
and
personal
taste. Check
whether
grill
is ready by
lifting the
Top
Plate
by
the Handle. NOTE:
All
parts
of
the Griddle, except the
Handle, will be very
hot
during and after
grilling.
Do not touch any
parts
of
the Griddle except the Handle until
the unit
cool.
6. When
grilling
is
complete,
remove the burgers,
boneless
pieces
of meat,
lin cuts of meat or
vegetables using
a
plastic
spatula
(buy
separately).
Never use metal utensils as
the may scratch
the non-stick cooking
plates.
HINTS
1. Before cleaning, unplug
the Griddle
from the wall
outlet
and allow to cool.
2. Stubborn huild-rrp.' Use
a non-metallic scrubbing
pad
to clean the
plates
3. Outside surface cleaning:
Wipe with a warm, wet sponge
and dry with a soft, dry
cloth.
4. Do not use steel wool, scouring
pads,
or abrasive
cleaners on any
part
of
the Grilling
Machine.
5.
DO NOT IMMERSE IN
IWATER
OR OTHER LIQUID WITH
THE GRILLING MACHINE.
6. Any servicing
requiring disassembly
other than the above cleaning
must be
performed
by
a
qualified
electrician.
7. Make sure
to hold the top cover
(Lid)
by
hand fhile cleaning to
prevent
accidental closing
and injury.
Cleaning
Before cleaning
the appliance, unplug
it and allow it to cool down.
Never
place
the appliance
in water or under running water.
To
clean
the outside ofthe appliance, use
a
damp sponge and dry carefrrlly.
To clean
the
plates,
use a damp sponge
with washing up liquid. Rinse and dry
them with care.
If there is any batter
baked onto the
plate,
we
would advise using vegetable oil
to soften it and
waiting 5 minutes before
removing it.
Never use a scouring
pad
or
powder.
