Appendix: Adding Addional Storage for DVR Recording (connued)
How to Add Addional Storage
First, make sure you have checked the Received Signal Strength Indicaon (RSSI) (see
page 5). You can’t check RSSI aer you begin using an external storage device.
1. If the DVR light is blinking, press the DVR buon. The light will turn o,
indicang DVR recording has stopped.
2. Unplug the CheckVideo Gateway’s power.
3. Connect the external storage device to the USB hub.
4. Connect the hub to the Gateway USB port.
5. Power up the USB hub.
6. Connect the Franklin Module to the USB hub.
7. Power up the Franklin Module.
8. Power up the CheckVideo Gateway.

Note: To avoid disrupons to your CheckVideo service aer a power outage,
use the same UPS power source for all CheckVideo system components.
The UPS power source should be connected to a single power strip,
which feeds all CheckVideo components (i.e., the CheckVideo Gateway,
the Franklin Module, the external hub, and the external storage device).
