Figure 83: Estimated Colon Path
The colon model is divided into four anatomical sections: Cecum-Ascending, Transverse
(containing both flexures), Descending-Sigmoid and Rectum (see Figure 84).
Figure 84: Estimated Colon Path
Additional information in this display includes:
Current slice distance from rectum
Coverage%, meaning Percentage of colon model covered by scans. This number
related to colon model only, not necessarily entire colon of subject.
WGTT (whole gut transit time) time from C-Scan
®
Cap ingestion to excretion. If
excretion was not detected or if capsule battery ended before capsule excretion,
this duration is shorter than actual WGTT.
If the WGTT exceeds a predefined threshold, it is colored red, and this should be
taken into consideration in procedure analysis.
Examination quality level
To calculate examination quality level for pre-analysis summary, the analyst must mark
which physiological segments exist in the colon model, by clicking the segments pictures,
see Figure 83. This does not relate to scans, only to existence in colon model.
A segment clicked is highlighted and considered part of colon model. The segments chosen
must be continuous since the colon model is always displayed in one piece.
See example in Figure 85, where Cecum-Ascending and Transverse are chosen.
