Firmware Upgrade Utility
The Firmware Upgrade Utility
The Windows-based Firmware Upgrade Utility (FWUpgrade.exe) provides a smooth, automated process for
upgrading the KVM switch’s firmware. The Utility comes as part of a Firmware Upgrade Package that is specific for
each device.
Before You Begin
1. Choose the Firmware Upgrade Package you want to install (usually the most recent), and download it
to your computer.
2. Power off the switch.
3. Unplug the KVM cables from the back of the switch.
4. Use the Firmware Upgrade Cable provided with this unit, to connect a COM port on your computer to
the Firmware Upgrade Port of your switch
5. Slide the Firmware Upgrade Switch to the Upgrade position.
6. Power the switch back on by plugging in the Unit. The Unit is now in Firmware upgrade Mode.
