Host Table Setup
In order for IOLAN+ to connect easily to machines on the network it must know the IP
addresses of the other computers. IOLAN+ can have its own internal table of IP addresses
set up in the host table. This is a ‘local’ naming system only. IOLAN+ can also use the name
server utility of your Unix system (consult your Unix system manual and Tips on page 61).
The Host Address Menu is accessed from the Administration Menu by selecting the host
entry. The host table can contain up to 10 addresses. Each entry consists of a host name and
its corresponding IP address.
You can fill in an entry (both the name and the IP Address) for your host machines and then
save the values by pressing the Enter key.
