3. Antenna Digital radar transmitter/receiver that uses
two frequencies to detect buried pipes.
High frequency (700MHz) has shallow
penetration. Best in conditions with good
radar conductivity, such as ice, sand,
concrete, or rock.
Low frequency (250 MHz) has broad,
deep penetration. Better in conditions with
poor radar conductivity, such as clay, salt,
or wet soil.
The 2450GR scans and records
both frequencies simultaneously
at all times.
4. Battery Provides 12V DC to control unit. Recharge when battery drops
below 10V, or as indicated by
acquisition software.
5. Wheel position
sensor
Measures the distance traveled by the
cart.
Located in the left rear wheel.
6. Control Unit Receives data from the antenna and the
wheel position sensor and translates it to
the tablet PC.
7. Battery Charger To recharge battery, connect charger to
battery.
Allow about 3 hours for battery
to charge.
