Manual
The rear peep sight is adjustable for elevation by loosening the eye piece
(counter clockwise) and moving the eye piece up or down. After the
correct height is obtained, tighten the eye piece securely (clockwise).
Raising the eye piece will raise the point of impact and lowering the eye
piece will lower the point of impact from the aim point.
Windage adjustments should be made with the front sight by moving the
sight in the dovetail. With a brass hammer or punch, the front sight can
be moved to the right or left, depending which direction your rifle is
shooting. Move the front sight in the direction you are shooting from
point of aim. If you are shooting to the left, move the front sight to the
left; if shooting right move the sight to the right.
WOOD FINISH CLEANING
The wood on your Little Sharps rifle has been finished using a rubbed oil
process with a protective wax coating. To maintain the luster on your
stocks, a coat of furniture-type paste wax can be reapplied periodically
to protect the woods original finish.
WARNING: The use of some gun cleaning chemcials and harsh
oils/solvents may adversely affect the finish of your wood stocks. Any
cleaning chemicals or harsh oils used on the metal parts should be wiped
clean immediately to prevent damage to the finish.
Charles Daly cannot be held responsible for damage to the
finish of the wood stocks from the use of any cleaning
chemicals or harsh oils/solvents.
