10.5 Loop Recorder Commands
The loop recorder contains approximately two megabytes of solid-state
nonvolatile memory, which can be used to continuously record data. If
more data is collected than fits in the memory, the oldest data will be over-
written with the newest data. You always have up to the last two megabytes
of data available for download.
10.5.1 Standard Loop Recorder Commands
ME – Erase Recorder
Purpose Erase the contents of the loop recorder.
Format ME ErAsE
Recommended Setting. Use as needed.
Description ME ErAsE erases the recorder memory. To make it more dif-
ficult to accidentally erase the data, the word “erase” must be
typed with exactly one space after the “ME” (which is not case
sensitive) and with alternating upper and lower case letters, as
shown.

CAUTION. Once erased, data is not recoverable.
MM – Show Memory Usage
Purpose Shows recorder memory usage.
Format MM
Recommended Setting. Use as needed.
Description Shows memory usage and the number of used and free pages.
