Step 3 - Include Proper Customs Documentation
The Customs statement should be completed very carefully. It should accu-
rately and truthfully contain the following information.
• Contents of the shipment
• Val ue
• Purpose of shipment (example: “American made goods re-
turned for repair”)
• Any discrepancy or inaccuracy in the Customs statement
could cause the shipment to be delayed in Customs.

• Detailed descriptions of what you are shipping (number of
packages, sizes, weights, and contents).
• The name of the freight carrier
• Master Air bill number
