Installation
STEP10 Install the door control
To preventpossible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH fromelectrocution:
• Be sure power is NOT connected BEFORE installing door control.
• ConnectONLY to 24 VOLTlowvoltage wires.
To preventpossible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH froma closing garage door:
• Install door control within sight of garage door, out ofreach of children at a minimum height of 5
feet(1.5 m), and away fromALL moving parts of door.
• NEVER permitchildren to operate or play with door control push buttonsor remote control
transmitters.
• Activate door ONLY when itcan be seen clearly,is properlyadjusted,and there are no
obstructionsto door travel.
• ALWAYS keep garage door in sight until completely closed. NEVERpermitanyone to crosspath
of closing garage door.
Install the door control within sight of the door ata minimum height of 5 feet(1.5 m) where small children
cannot reach,and awayfrom the moving parts of the door.For gang boxinstallations it is notnecessary
to drill holes or install the drywall anchors. Use the existing holes in the gang box.

Connect the door control wires:
1. Strip 7/16" (11 mm) ofinsulation fromone end of bell wire and connectto the two screw
terminals on backofdoor control bycolor:white wire to WHT (1) and white/red wire to the RED
(2). Ifyour garage is pre-wired for the door control,choose any two wires to connect, note
which wires are used so the correctwires are connected to the garage door opener in a later
step.

Install the Multi-Function Door Control:
1. Remove cover bygentlyprying at the top ofthe cover with a small flathead screwdriver.
2. Mark the location ofthe bottom-mounting hole and drill a 5/32 inch (4 mm) hole.
3. Install the bottomscrew,allowing 1/8 inch (3 mm) to protrude fromthe wall.
4. Position the bottom hole ofthe door control over the screw and slide down into place.
5. Mark and drill the top hole.
6. Attach the top screw.

1. Mark and drill 5/32 inch (4 mm) hole(s).
2. Fasten door control button to wall with screws.
