The Safety and its Operation
In order to disengage the safety, shift the safety forwards (Fig. 2) until you can observe
the orange dot, point at the target and fire from the particular barrel by pressing the
corresponding trigger. The front trigger is for firing the lower, rifled barrel while the rear trigger
is for firing the upper, shotgun barrel.
The front trigger is provided with a French set-trigger. In order to draw the set-trigger
it is necessary to push the trigger blade forwards while the safety is in the "on safe" position
(Fig. 3). Once you disengage the safety and pull the trigger blade gently, the firearm will fire.
In case you are not able to fire, make sure that the safety is engaged and release the set-
trigger by touching the trigger blade.
In case you fire from one barrel only, set the firearm to "on safe" mode by moving the
safety backwards. Break the barrels and replace the spent cartridge case with a fresh
cartridge. The extractor will slide the cases out of the chambers, even if the cartridge has not
been fired.
Disassemble the firearm and clean it after firing
Sighting-in and barrel grouping
The thermostable barrel group with the floating rifled barrel allows for firing from the rifled
barrel repeatedly, without the impact rising as it can be observed in classical constructions.
The rifled barrel has been sighted-in at a distance of 50 metres using the fixed sights.
The firearm is accompanied with a grouping target showing two hits fired one after each other
and indicating the manufacturer and type of the used ammunition. The manufacturer
guarantees that 5 shots fired one after each other will hit inside the external circle of the
grouping target.
The shotgun barrel has been sighted in at the manufacturing plant at a distance of 35
metres using the fixed sights and aiming at a 20x20 cm target with the mean point of impact
centred on the point of aim. The shotgun barrel has been sighted in by means of a shotgun
shell in caliber 12-76 42,5 g with lead shot of ø 3,5 mm made by SB. The mean point of impact
of the shotgun barrel has been set by the manufacturer to lie below the impact of the rifled
barrel.
When you attach a rifle scope and the weight of the rifle/shotgun increases, the mean
point of impact of the shotgun barrel will lie slightly higher. Entrust the firearm to a professional
workshop where the grouping of the barrels will be adjusted with the help of the screws located
in the fore-end hook and according to the ammunition that you use.
CAUTION:
You can claim warranty on the sighting-in and grouping of the barrels only if you are
using the ball ammunition indicated on the grouping paper and the above mentioned shotgun
shells.
