Barrel Assembly
The barrel assembly consists of one rifled barrel and one shotgun barrel which are
screwed together to form a group. The fore-end hook, the central bar, the rear sight base and
the front sight base are soldered to the upper, shotgun barrel.
The rifled barrel is not fixed at the muzzle end to allow for thermal expansion. The
adjusting screws located at the fore-end hook serve for adjusting the grouping of both barrels.
The parts of this firearm's action are made of structural steel. The surface of the steel
parts is protected by alkaline oxidation and nickel treatment. The stock and fore-end are made
of walnut wood. The gripping surfaces are provided with checkering and the wooden surface
is impregnated with oil.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Observe Following Principles when Shooting the Firearm
- before you start shooting, you must clean the firearm's external surfaces followed
by barrel bores including both chambers and finally wiping all surfaces dry
- use only good quality, uncorroded cartridges
- do not use cartridges that have been dropped and are dirty unless properly cleaned
- always wear suitable ear protectors and safety glasses when shooting
- do not fire an over oiled firearm
Loading the Firearm
Using your right hand thumb, push the top lever to the right and break the barrels with
the other hand (Fig. 1). The barrels must be broken to their utmost. When the barrels are
broken, the top lever is kept in the open position, the safety is automatically moved to the "on
safe" position and the firing mechanism is drawn. Insert cartridges into the chambers and place
the barrels back to their original position. The top lever is released and the wedge locks the
barrels. In case the top lever is not aligned with the axis of fire, the triggers are blocked. It is
necessary to use pressure to get the top lever aligned.
