[ ] 3. Form a U-shaped bend in the middle of the other 737mm 2

-stage cable. Fit this ‘U-
bend’ around the boss in the left 2
nd
-stage pulley and tape as shown in Figure 23.

[ ] 4. Locate the two brass lugs of the right cable. Make sure that the cables do not cross
anywhere along their path. Adjust the two ends coming from the elbow unevenly so
that the outboard cable end is approximately 35mm longer than the inboard cable.
Temporarily tape the cable pair to the pulley surface to keep it tight around the boss.
[ ] 5. The next step is to install the right second-stage cable into its respective pinion.
Without crossing the cables, take the brass lug of the longer cable and attach it to one of
the two 2
nd
-stage pinion terminations located on the sidewall of the 1
st
-stage pulley.
