Drive Fan Assembly

8. Firmly grasp the fan assembly and remove the two plastic rivets from the inner finger guard.

9. Retain the rivets for the new fan.

10. Remove the inner finger guard and retain it for the new fan.

11. Reverse the steps to replace the FRU.

Note: Replace the cut tie wrap with tie wrap part number 175021.

CAUTION:

Possible equipment damage: Make sure the SCSI cable does not block the fan before

you close the drive door.

Possible cable damage: Make sure you move the SCSI cable out of the way before

you close the drive door.

12. Go to “Restoring Operation” on page 4-79.
