When the firmware receives a move command, the code calculates move profiles
specifying position, velocity, and acceleration at a given point in time for each mechanism
involved. From this profile, along with position feedback from the motor, firmware
determines the current needed in the motor to effect the desired position. The motor
encoder, along with decode circuitry on the card, provides position feedback. When the
move is completed, firmware continues to monitor the motor position and the desired
position, and assures that the proper current remains until the next move command is
received.
The following table lists the LLC card connectors. See Figure 4-8 on page 4-31 for the
locations of the connectors on the card.
