Restoring Operation
■ Restoring Operation
Perform the applicable steps to make sure the library is ready for operation:
1. Make sure you installed and properly seated all the cards.
2. Make sure you installed all the cables and tightened all the connectors.
3. Make sure you secured all the cable strain reliefs.
4. Look in the library for loose parts, connectors, and tools.
5. Make sure you fully retracted the hand reach mechanism.
6. Close and lock the doors.
7. Place the power supply switches to the — position.
8. Place the inline switches to the — position.
9. Run diagnostic tests.
10. If you have replaced a fibre channel router, configure the router according to its user
manual:
• Crossroads Fibre Router User’s Manual, DS30110
• StorageNet 3300 Fibre Channel Router User Manual, 461273-01
• StorageNet 3400 Multi-Protocol Router User Manual, 461271-01
11. Tell the customer the library is ready.
