5.2.2.10 Alias
Description A text string containing an 'alias' name for the interface, as assigned by a
network manager.
This value provides a non-volatile 'handle' for the interface.

SNMP Object ID ifAlias (1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18)
Value Up to 256 characters.
When the set command is used together with the alias attribute, only one
interface can be addressed per invocation.

Dependencies The value of this attribute must be unique with respect to other interface
aliases.
