3. Select the suitable option:
 Select Local Connection (Broadcast), if user is connected directly to the
IDU LAN port.
 Enter IP address (of the ODU)
Default address: 10.0.0.120
The Subnet mask is 255.0.0.0.

The actual IP address is defined during link configuration (see Defining the
Management Addresses).
4. Enter the password
Default password – admin (see the section on Changing the Management
Password)
5. Click the Read only check box if entering the system as a Read only user.
6. If you are a user with Read-Write permission, click Options to enter the
community options.
FA4800 is protected with Community passwords. A user may be defined with
read-only permission or with read-write permission. See the section Changing
Community Values for more detail.
• If using the system for the first time, enter netman (default) in the read-only
and read-write fields.
• If community values have previously been defined, enter them in the read-
only or read-write communities.
• If you are a user with read-only permission, click the Read Only Mode check
box.
