User guide
TALKSWITCH CONFIGURATION 192
1. Choose Troubleshooting > Extensions > Regular Analog Extensions. The Regular Analog
Extensions window appears.
2. Set the Minimum length of the Flash to the shortest duration considered to be an intentional
Flash from a local extension. Choices range from 300 ms to 650 ms.
3. Set the Maximum length of the Flash to the longest duration considered to be an intentional
Flash from a local extension. Choices range from 550 ms to 1000 ms.
Most phones emit a 600 ms Flash signal when the Flash or Link button is pressed.
4. When the user hangs up, placing the phone on hook might generate false Flash signals. Set
the Ignore flash signals detected list so the TalkSwitch system can ignore false Flash signals
during a hang up. This prevents false holds and ring backs. Choices range from 400 ms to
1second.
5. Set the inbound volume level for the local analog extensions. This affects the volume of calls
and system prompts for internal users, not remote callers. Choices are:
• Loudest
•Default
•Quieter
•Quietest
Extensions > IP Extensions
The Extensions > IP Extensions command allows you to set the amount of time between
registration messages from IP extensions. You can also change the starting SIP, starting RTP and
HTTP ports.
Do not adjust these settings unless advised to do so by your local dealer or technical support
centre. If your system does not appear to be functioning correctly, please contact your local
dealer or technical support centre for assistance.
