GENERAL VOICE MAILBOXES
General voicemail is not associated with any extension, but is for general use or for a group. By
default, general voicemail is deactivated.
There are ten general voice mailboxes per TalkSwitch unit, which are numbered as follows:
• TalkSwitch Unit 1 — 410 to 419
• TalkSwitch Unit 2 — 420 to 429
• TalkSwitch Unit 3 — 430 to 439
• TalkSwitch Unit 4 — 440 to 449
The procedure for setting up general voicemail is similar to that described in Local Extension/
Fax, except each general voice mailbox is deactivated by default. See Voicemail tab on page 75.
The General Voice Mailboxes page allows you to set up general voicemail.

Note: In the Caller Options area, the screen may refer to when a caller presses ‘9’ depending on the region.
Mailbox greeting
The procedure for setting up the mailbox greeting is identical to that described in Local
Extension/Fax. See Mailbox greeting on page 76.
Caller options
The procedure for setting up the caller options is identical to that described in Local Extension/
Fax. See Caller options on page 76.
