codes for access to the outgoing lines or VoIP trunks by-passing ARS or Toll
Restriction.
To configure ARS and Toll Restriction bypass:
1. Include the required lines or VoIP trunks in the dedicated by-pass Line
Hunt Groups (see section 2.2.4).
2. Open the TalkSwitch Configuration program.
3. Select System Information -> Auto Route Selection.
4. Click on the ARS Hunt Groups button.
5. Remove the checkmark next to each Line Hunt Group used to by-pass ARS
and Toll Restriction.
6. For each extension select System Information -> Local Extension and
click on the Hunt Group Access button, and check or uncheck access to
Line Hunt Groups as required.
Direct Line Access
When Direct Line Access is enabled on an extension, calls placed from that
extension are routed to a designated Line Hunt Group. If ARS is enabled on
the designated Line Hunt Group, the calls are subject to ARS and Toll
Restriction.
Telephone Line 3-Way Calling Service
The use of the telephone company‘s three-way calling and conference call
services are not recommended on telephone lines when ARS or Toll
Restriction are used. The system’s ARS and Toll Restriction features do not
have any control over the routing of calls through these telephone company
services.
Emergency Service Numbers
The emergency access numbers, shown in the Emergency Service Section of
the ARS configuration window, will not be blocked by Toll Restriction nor
redirected by ARS. Calls to these emergency service numbers will be routed
to Line Hunt Group 9.
It is recommended that any other local emergency service numbers be
entered in to the ARS table to ensure that calls are routed to a Line Hunt
Group with telephone lines providing access to emergency services.
