3. Check Activate ARS.
By default ARS and Toll Restriction is disabled; and when enabled, applies to
all Line Hunt Groups.
For selective activation of ARS and Toll Restriction on specific Line Hunt
Groups:
1. Open the TalkSwitch Configuration program.
2. Select System Information -> Auto Route Selection.
3. Click on the ARS Hunt Groups button.
4. Check or uncheck the Line Hunt Groups to which ARS and Toll
Restrictions are to be applied.
To complete ARS and Toll Restriction activation after entering all the
required ARS and Toll Restriction data, save the setting to TalkSwitch using
the File > Save to TalkSwitch from the Configuration program menu.
Extension Access to Line Hunt Groups for ARS & Toll Restriction
By default, all extensions have access to all Line Hunt Groups. As part of an
ARS and Toll Restriction scheme it may be desirable to control extensions’
access to Line Hunt Groups:
1. Open the TalkSwitch Configuration program.
2. Select System Information -> Local Extensions.
3. Click the Hunt Group Access button.
4. Check or uncheck each Line Hunt Group access to enable or disable
extension access as required.
Repeat these steps for all extensions requiring restricted access to Line Hunt
Groups.
Allowing Select Extensions to Bypass ARS and Toll Restriction
To allow select extensions to by-pass ARS and Toll Restriction requires
dedicated Line Hunt Groups. These Line Hunt Groups must be configured for
access only by the selected extensions, and excluded from ARS and Toll
Restriction. The selected extensions with access to these ARS and Toll
Restriction by-pass Line Hunt Groups, just dial the Line Hunt Group access
Restricting extension access to one Line Hunt Group, allows the
administrator to use ARS to control the appropriate selection Line Hunt
Groups for each call.
