2.2.4 Line hunt groups
There are a total of 9 line hunt groups that control outbound call line
selections. These line hunt groups are used by local and remote extensions,
and by the call bridge feature. Each hunt group can support several line
choices and will attempt to use an available line in the order that they are
listed for that hunt group. Hunt group settings have no effect on incoming
calls.
Default setup:
1. Select System Information -> Line Hunt Groups.
2. Select a Line Hunt Group tab and enter a unique name in the Label field
to identify this group elsewhere in the configuration software.
3. Under Set Line Hunt Group, set the Line Type. If you wish to use this hunt
group to access telephone lines, select Phone Lines. To use this hunt
group to access VoIP numbers, select TalkSwitch VoIP Numbers, or Service
Provider VoIP Numbers, optionally.
For information about assigning and configuring the VoIP numbers in a
TalkSwitch or a servicer provider setting, see 5.4.3 VoIP Numbers on
page 176 and its subsections.
