Each phone is connected to a single
extension. A call transferred to
extension 111 will ring the phone
connected on jack E1. A call
transferred to extension 112 will ring
the phone on jack E2 and so on.
1.9.2.2 Connecting a regular dual-line telephone
Most dual-line phones have separate plug-ins for two incoming telephone
lines (Line 1 and Line 2). If your dual-line telephone does not have separate
plug-ins, you can use a Line 1/Line 2 splitter to separate the two lines as
shown in Figure 19 and Figure 20 on page 18.
You can plug the dual-line phone into the TalkSwitch unit using one or two
extension jacks. Figure 17 below shows a dual-line phone using one jack and
Figure 18 shows a dual-line telephone plugged into the unit using two jacks.
