Additional IP extensions
It is possible to enable 8 additional IP extensions per TalkSwitch unit. Once
enabled, the additional tabs will appear in the following configuration
software sections and the IP extensions can be configured the same way you
configure the other local extensions:
• System Information -> Local Extensions
(see 2.2.7 Local extensions on page 56)
• Voicemail -> Local Ext. Voicemail
(see 2.3.1 Mailbox options on page 70)
• Call Handling -> Local Extensions
(see 2.4.5.1 Local extensions on page 93)
Additional voicemail capacity
It is possible to increase TalkSwitch unit memory capacity for voicemail,
greetings and music on hold by enabling additional capacity in the
configuration software. TalkSwitch comes with a default 0.5 hours of
capacity and can be upgraded to 2.5 hours, in increments of 1 hour using
licence codes (if you need more than 2.5 hours you will need to purchase 4.5
or 9 hour memory cards from your reseller). When adding extensions to your
system (per unit), you may find the need to add memory capacity to account
for the addition of additional voicemail boxes and greetings. Verify your
memory capacity information using Voicemail Manager (see 2.3.3.1 Voicemail
manager on page 79).
Attendant Console
TalkSwitch Attendant Console is a standalone software application providing
display and call control for receptionist tasks. Attendant Console may be
enabled as a time-limited demo, or enabled fully with a license code, as
described below.
