“Two-Step” Spot Repair System
• Remove minor surface defects that protrude through clear coat.
• Achieve OEM results in your shop.
• Eliminates swirl marks, “hazing” and sanding scratches common
with other methods.
Step 1
Using Model 57502 Mini-Random Orbital Sander, place the sanding disc
slightly off-center of the defect with slight pressure on the pad. Throttle
the tool on, and sand in a random pattern for 2-5 seconds. Water must
be used for sanding lubrication. Apply water directly to the disc. Keep the
sanding pad flat while sanding. Throttle the tool off and remove from
surface. Let the tool and the abrasive do the work. Keep the area sanded
as small as possible. Wipe the area clean when finished with a clean
non-scratching cloth.
Mini-Random Orbital Sander

• 7,500 RPM. Includes 54035 Sanding Head (accepts 3" and smaller
dia. sanding pads with male locking-type threads).
Step 2
Apply a small drop of polishing compound. Using Dynabuffer (3" or 5"
diameter models), use the buff to spread compound evenly over spot.
(Note: precondition pad by evenly spreading compound directly on pad.)
Place the buff on the sanding area. Apply approx. 10 lbs. of force to the
work surface, throttle the tool on, adjust force as required, and buff in a
random pattern for 5-10 seconds. Keep buff flat or slightly tipped forward.
Feather the area with lighter pressure for two seconds. Wipe the area
clean with non-scratching cloth and inspect. If scratches are still visible,
re-polish as needed.

• Features a 14 mm diameter offset orbit.
• Tools run at 10,000 RPM free speed.
• Patented balancer compensates for vibration when running under load,
resulting in a smooth operating performance (Patent 6,206,771).
• Rear exhaust muffler design reduces sound levels.
