hasanouterwallthatprovidesabrasionresistance&aninnerwallthatformsanenvironmentsealagainstmoisturepenetration.Thetubingismadefromaame-retardant,
exiblecross-linkedpolyolenwithathinlayerofthermoplasticadhesive.Theheat-shrinkableouterwallisselectivelycross-linkedwhilemaintainingthehighow&
excellentadhesionoftheinnersealantliner.Whenheatedinexcessof121°C(250°F),tubingrapidlyshrinkstoaskintightt,forcingthemeltedadhesiveliningtoow
&coverthesubstrate.Theadhesiveformsaexiblebondwithawidevarietyofrubbers,plastics&metals.Uponcooling,theadhesivesolidiesformingapermanent,
non-drying,exible&waterresistantbarrier.Whenfreelyrecovered,thetubingwillshrink50%ofitsoriginaldiameter.Therecoveredwallthicknessofthetubingis
proportionaltothedegreeofrecovery.Applicationsincludeinsulation,jacketingwirebundles,mechanicalprotection,physical/electricalprotectionofcomponents,strain
relief,solderinsulation&lightweightharnessingwheresuperiorabrasionresistanceisaplus.Temperatureratingforcontinuousoperationfrom-55°C(-67°F)to110°C
(230°F).Adhesivereowwilloccurattemperaturesabove80°C(176°F)ShrinkRatiois2to1(shrinksto1/2itsoriginaldiameter).ShrinkTemperatureis121°C(250°F).
