FAQ
Fire Glass, specifically our tempered fire glass, is crafted a large sheet of tempered glass
(often called safety glass) that has been broken into many pieces. While some pieces
may have sharp edges, the overall design and production process ensures the pieces are
safe to the touch. However gloves are recommend for heavy handling.

When it comes to flame performance the style and size of our fire glass does not have
any noticeable impact. All three options, our 1/2" Tempered, 1/4" Tempered, and
Crushed Glass, allow strong flames to flow from your burner. The main differences
between each style of fire glass is in their size and appearance. Our 1/2” tempered fire
glass is our most popular for outdoor fire pits with its shimmer and modern style, though
others like the rustic look of our crushed fire glass

Mixing colors can certainly be done and is a great way
to personalize your fire pit with your design preferences.
Many customers choose to use two colors in an even 50/
mix. Alternatively, some choose to use a single color as
a primary base then add a second color lightly as an
accent throughout their fire pit. Mixing colors allows you
to tailor the fire pit's aesthetic to your personal style,
making it a focal point that reflects your unique taste
and design preferences.
To determine how much fire glass you
need take the measurements of your fire
pit. For square and rectangular fire pits
you will need the length, width, and depth
of your fire pit. For round fire pits you will
need the diameter and the depth.
