3) In the ‘ System Properties ’ screen, under the ‘Hardware’ tab, click on ‘Device Manager’ .
Double-click on
‘Ports (COM & LPT)' . The screen in Figure 10 will be displayed

4) On the list of Ports, one of them should read ‘Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge
(COM#)’
. In the example in Figure 10 above, the component is connected to ‘COM5’ .
NOTE: It is important to take note here of the COM port that has been assigned to the component,
as it will be needed later when establishing connections with the various software tools.
