15. Settings
You can configure your Philips 598 mobile phone to
best suit your usage preference. You can configure the
following settings:
General, Sounds, Display and
Connectivity.
General
This menu allows you to configure some general
settings:
Enter the menu Press
, to enter the main
menu from idle mode and
select
Settings.
Select a settings menu Press
< or > .
Enter the menu options Press
+ or - .
Options Description
Active flip Select On or Off. You can change the
current selection by pressing
L .
When you select
On, you can answer
an incoming call simply by opening
the flip.
Language Set the display language of the
phone.
Time & date Display time: Select On or Off. When
you select
On, the time information
will be displayed in idle screen.
Time zone: Change the time zone.
Set time: Set the time in the format
HH:MM.
Set date: Set the date.
Time format: Set the time format as
24 hours or 12 hours.
Date format: Set the date format as
YYY/MM/DD, YYYY.MM.DD,
DD.MM.YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD or DD-
MM-YYYY
.
Power-on time: Set a time for the
phone to be switched on. You can
select
On or Off. When you select
On, you need to enter the time you
want your phone to be switched on.
Power-off time: same as above.
