18. Final Assembly
Before final assembly, first get familiar with all
functions and try out the device in all applications
you want to install.
To install the GSM aerial, remove the protective foil from
the GSM aerial. Glue the aerial to the assembly site you
have already tested for good, interference-free reception
as described in chapter „Configuration of the SIM-Card“.
Place and attach the aerial cable to the place where the
GMS module is to be installed (e.g. with cable ties).
Install the empty GSM module casing with suitable screws
(not included in the delivery) to the holes already present
(where the lid is screwed on).
Attention!
Before drilling, make sure that there are no building installations at the drill sites. Damage to gas, electricity, water and wastewater
pipes may lead to mortal danger or property damage!
Do not install the device right next to radiators or devices that may cause interferences (e.g. motors, switching cabinets, etc.). Outdoor installation
must be performed at a site protected from splashing water and protected from solar irradiation all day
Break the required holes for the cable infeed for operating voltage, sensors and devices to be connected to the GSM module out of the casing.
Install the GSM module PCB in the casing and attach all cables of the operating voltage, sensors and devices to be connected to the GSM
module. Observe the required connection polarity and firm seat of the cables.
Now install the cables for the supply voltage and the cables of the devices or sensors to be connected to the GSM module. The connection
cables are guided through the closing plugs. The closing plugs are then installed in the casing.
Place the cables with suitable cable ties or cable clamps (not included in the delivery) to prevent inadvertent pulling out from the connection
casing.
After installation of all cables, you can take the GSM module into operation and try out all functions. If everything works correctly, close the casing
with the lid.
Observe suitable cable cross-sections and a cable type that matches the application case (in particular if the mains voltage (230 V/AC)
is to be switched).
The module may only be commissioned after it has been installed contact-free in a casing. Prior to commissioning the assembly,
check whether it is suited to the intended application!
In case of doubt, you must contact an expert or the manufacturer!
