Installation 1 Identifying the screw diameter to use 2 Identifying the screw length to use □ Insert a straw or toothpick into one of the mounting holes on the back of your TV. If your TV is curved or recessed, place the proper sized spacer (LL – OO) on top of one of the mounting holes first. □ Use a pencil to mark the depth of the mounting hole. □ Determine the proper screw length to use by comparing the mark with the various screws provided (AA – KK).
Installation (continued) 3 4 Testing the screw length Attaching the brackets to the TV □ Center the brackets (B and C) vertically to the back of the TV. Ensure that the left and right mounting brackets (B and C) are no more than 24 1/2 in. (623 mm) apart. □ For curved or recessed backs, place the correct sized spacers (LL – OO) over the mounting holes on the back of the TV.
Installation (continued) 5 Installing the wall plate (wood stud) 6 If you are installing this mounting system in masonry (concrete), proceed to step 6. Installing the wall plate (concrete/brick wall) CAUTION: Avoid drilling near electrical wiring and water pipes. The mounting system must be attached to a weight bearing wall. Failure to observe all safety precautions can result in serious physical injury and/or property damage.
Installation (continued) 7 Mounting the TV to the wall plate 8 Attaching the wall plate □ Loosen the safety screws (1) preassembled to the left (B) and right (C) mounting brackets. □ Plug any cables into the TV as they could be difficult to reach after the TV is mounted to the wall. □ Using two people, carefully lift the TV and align the brackets (B and C) with the wall plate (A).
Installation (continued) 9 Securing the TV to the wall mount □ Tighten both safety screws (1) firmly with a screwdriver. 1 IMPORTANT: Continue to hold the TV until it is secure. CAUTION: Do not over tighten the safety screws. This can damage the screws and greatly reduce their holding power. B 10 Adjusting the angle CAUTION: Use two or more people to complete this step.
