The ZR-DHC series encompasses 32-channel, 16-channel and 8-channel models.
They are PC based real-time recording and display DVRs that combine the ease
of use of a PC interface with the reliability of a traditional DVR.
The DVR has advanced functionality including the possibility to search for
motion events retrospectively
- ‘object watch’. Typically, an area or ‘object’ can
be highlighted and the system will search for motion in the area and detect if
the object has been removed. With the addition of a third party interface, the
DVR can add a text datastream (typically a POS till system), allowing the data to
be synchronised with the video and allowing the function to search for a till
transaction and the associated video to be viewed along with the data.
The DVR can be viewed and controlled either by a web browser or, for extended
functions, via the free GMS (Ganz management software). These have the
option for user-level password access.
Back-up of data is easy and a number of file options are offered. Still images can
be backed up in the form of JPEG or bitmap files. Video can be backed-up in
original DVR format to be viewed in the client software, in SFX format, (which
includes an auto-player to be played on any PC), or in AVI format, which can be
played in any standard windows media player.
