degradation.UseaClass“D”fireextinguisherorothersmotheringagentsuchasLith‐X,copperpowderor
drysand.Ifusingwater,useenough
tosmotherthefire.Usinganinsufficientamountofwaterwillmake
thefireworse.Coolingexteriorofbatterieswillhelppreventrupturing.Burningbatteriesgeneratetoxic
