Restarting is required when a battery is replaced, or when the computer does not operate correctly. The following data will not be reset when restarting: tire circumference setting; total distance; total time. Resetting clock time is reguired. 4. Selecting the speed unit 4. Sélectlon de l'unité de mesure By pressing the Mode-1 or the Mode-2 button, you can choose between km/h or mph (miles per hour). Press the START/ENTER button to select the unit. This is followed by the tire circumference screen. Raise the rear wheel and turn the tire, and make sure that the speed icon on Display-1 flashes. 2. Turn the crank in the reverse direction, and make sure that the cadence icon on Display-2 flashes. NOTE: When the icon does not flash, the relative position of the magnet to the sensor arm is wrong. Follow the instructions given in “Basic installation and operation” on page 8.

Pressing the Mode-1 and the Mode-2 button changes the displayed items of data as shown in the illustration. The displayed items of data are as follows: • Display-1 ..... Your time in this zone will be recorded. Turning the cadence zone ON causes the current cadence display to flash when outside the zone. An alarm will also sound if the sound feature is turned on. To change a value and shift the digit, see the illustrations below. After entering the desired value, press the MODE–1 button to cause all the numeric characters to flash, and press the START/ENTER button to finish the setting operation. Setting the clock Réglage de l'heure journalier This function is used to set the clock, and to choose between 12- and 24-hour modes. You cannot change settings while the bicycle is in motion. NOTE: • The changeover between the 24- and the 12-hour system can be made regardless of the speed unit.

While the bicycle is in motion, the tire circumference value can be viewed but not changed.

Cannot measure the trip speed or cadence. Check whether the distance between the speed (cadence) sensor and the magnet is too large. Is the indication line of the speed (cadence) sensor arm off the center of the magnet? Adjust the position of the speed (cadence) sensor arm and that of the magnet correctly. (See “Basic installation and operation” on page 8.) Sensor signals are not received. Is SLEEP indicated on the screen? Cancel the sleep mode by pressing a button.
