appliances you want to power.
STEP 3 Consider size and weight. Make sure you know
where you will store your generator and confirm
the dimensions of that space.
STEP 4 Decide what starting method you want.

STEP 5 If you want to use your generator for emergency backup
power, you will need a heavy-duty power cord and you
may elect for a home-installed manual transfer switch.
