Personal injury can result from contact with refrig-

Contact with refrigerant can cause frost bite. Keep
face and hands a way to help prevent injury.
Protective goggles must always be worn when re-
frigerant lines are opened, even if the gauges in-

Personal injury or death can result from inhaling
refrigerant through a lit cigarette.
Inhaling air conditioner refrigerant gas through a

death.
Do not smoke when servicing air conditioners or
wherever refrigerant gas may be present.
Use a certied recovery and recycling cart to prop-

NOTICE
If th

Rollover Protective Stru cture
(ROPS )
- Inspect
SMCS Code: 7323-040; 7325-040
S/N: DBD1-Up
NOTICE
Do not attempt to straighten the ROPS structure. Do
not repair the ROPS by welding reinforcement plates
to the structure.
If there are any cracks in the welds, in the castings, or
in any metal section of the ROPS, consult your Cater-
pillar dealer for repairs.
1. Inspect the ROPS for loose bolts. Inspect the
ROPS for damaged bolts. Replace the damaged
bol
ts and the missing bolts with original equipment
parts only. Torque the bolts to 1050 ± 150 N·m
(775 ± 110 lb ft).
Note: Apply oil to all ROPS bolt threads before
you install the bolt. Failure to apply oil can result in
im
proper bolt torque.
2. Operate the machine on a rough surface. Replace
t
he ROPS mounting supports if the ROPS makes
a noise or if the ROPS rattles.
