Differential and Final Drive Oil - Change
Hot oil and hot c omponents can cause personal
injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to
contact skin.

Drain plug (2) is located under the transmission of
the trac
tor.Drainplug(1)islocatedbehinddrainplug
(2). Drain plug (2) is located closer to the front of the
machine.
Operate the machine until the differential oil is warm.
Park the machine on a level surface. Lower the bowl.
1. Engage the parking brake. Stop the engine.
2. Clean
theareaarounddrainplug(2).
3. Removedrainplug(2).Draintheoilintoasuitable
cont
ainer.
4. Clean drain plug (2). Install drain plug (2).

Note: Drain plu
g(3)islocatedonthehubofthe
wheel. Drain plug (3) must be at the lowest point in
order to drain the nal drive.
5. Clean the area around drain plug (3).
6. Remove drain
plug (3). Drain the oil into a suitable
container.
7. Clean drain
plug (3). Install drain plug (3).
8. Repeat this procedure for the other wheel.

(5) Filler tube for the differential

Note: Filler tube (5) is located at the right rear of
the tractor.
9. Clean the area around ller tube (5). Remove the
cap.
10. Fill the differential with oil through the ller tube.
Fill the differential to the “FULL” mark in sight
glas
s (6). Refer to Operation and Maintenance
Manual, “Capacities (Rell)” and Operation and
Maintenance Manual, “Lubricant Viscosities for
furt
her information.
11. Clean the ller cap. Install the ller cap.
Note: The differential and the nal drives share a
common reservoir. However, the oil level of the nal
dri
ves should be checked. The ller plug for the nal
drive must be horizontal with the center of the nal
drive in order to check the oil level of the nal drive.

12. Cleantheareaaroundller plug (4). Remove

ler plug (4).
13. Add oil to the nal drive if oil is needed. Oil should

e dripping out of the ller hole when the nal
drive is full of oil.
