PROBLEM LIKELY CAUSE SOLUTION
3. With the key on «START» the
light comes on but the starter
motor does not run
– insuciently charged battery
– malfunction on the starter relay
– recharge the battery (see 6.2.3)
– contact your Dealer
4. With the ignition key turned to
«START» the starter motor runs
but the engine does not start
– insuciently charged battery
– faulty fuel supply
– faulty ignition
– recharge the battery (see 6.2.3)
– check the level in the tank
(see 5.3.3)
– open the fuel stopcock (if tted)
(see 5.4.1)
– check the fuel lter
– check that spark plug cap is
securely tted
– check that the electrodes are
clean and have the correct gap
between them
5. Starting is dicult or the engine
runs erratically
– faulty carburetion – clean or replace the air lter
– empty the fuel tank and rell with
fresh fuel
– check and replace the fuel lter if
necessary
6. Weak engine performance
during cutting
– forward speed too high in relation
to cutting height
– reduce the forward speed and/or
raise the cutting height
(see 5.4.5)
7. The engine shuts down whilst
working
The safety device of the electronic
circuit board has cut in due to:
– the safety devices have cut in
Turn the ignition key to «STOP»
and look for the cause of the
problem:
– check that all starting conditions
are met (see 5.2.b)
8. The cutting means do not
engage or do not stop promptly
when they are disengaged
– problems with the engagement
mechanism
– contact your Dealer
9. Uneven mowing and poor grass
collection
– cutting-means assembly is not
parallel to the ground
– inecient cutting means;
– forward speed too high
compared to the height of grass
being cut
– collector channel is blocked
– check the tyre pressure
(see 5.3.2)
– reinstate the alignment of the
cutting-means assembly in
relation to the ground (see 6.3.1)
– contact your Dealer
– reduce the forward speed and/
or raise the cutting-means
assembly (see 5.4.5)
– wait for the grass to dry
– remove the grass catcher and
empty the collector channel
(see 5.4.7)
10. Unusual vibrations while
working
– cutting-means assembly is full
of grass
– the cutting means are
unbalanced or loose
– loose bolts and screws
– clean the cutting means
assembly (see 5.4.10)
– contact your Dealer
– check and tighten all the engine
and frame bolts
11. Uncertain or ineective braking – the brake is not adjusted
correctly
– contact your Dealer
12. Erratic forward movement,
poor drive when going uphill or
if the machine has a tendency
to rear up
– problems with the belt or the
engagement device
– contact your Dealer
