STEP 3. Remove the attached
nut from one bolt hook, insert-
ing the hook into the hole near
the capped top of one stand
arm (FIGURE 5), the threaded
end of the bolt coming out the
corresponding hole at the back
of the pole. Loosely attach the
nut to the hook’s threaded end,
using your wrench to tighten
(FIGURE 6); do not overtighten.
Unroll the hammock and at-

tted to each stand arm

STEP 4. Loosely center the unfolded
hammock pad atop the hammock,

straps at both ends of the pad to the
wooden spreader bars at each end
of the hammock (FIGURE 8), then tie
the straps at the pad’s middle to the
rope braid running along the ham-
mock’s side (FIGURE 9). If you don’t like
the ends of the straps hanging down,
you can tuck them underneath the
pad itself.
STEP 5. Center the hammock pillow
at one end of your hammock pad.
Using a simple knot, attach the two
sets of ties to the hammock spreader
bars beneath the pad (FIGURE 10).
Tuck the strap ends beneath the pad
if you don’t like them dangling.
