3.3 Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device against damages during transit. The packaging
materials are selected in accordance with environmentally compatible and
recycling-related points of view and can therefore be recycled.
Returning the packaging back to the material loop saves raw materials and reduces the
quantities of accumulated waste. Take any packaging materials that are no longer required to
“Green Dot” recycling collection points for disposal.
Please note
If possible, keep the original packaging for the device for the duration of the guarantee
period of the device, in order that the device can be re-packaged properly in the event of a
guarantee claim.
3.4 Using the milk frother:
Before using the new Froth Maker for the first time, we recommend that you clean the
appliance thoroughly.
Applying thumb pressure, open and remove the sliding battery compartment cover.
Install the batteries in the position indicated on the battery position schematic.
Replace the sliding compartment cover fully into operating position.
Press the power button to ensure that the batteries are functioning properly.
The milk frother can be used to froth a number of milk-based liquids, either hot or cold.
Scalded or cooked milk is not suitable for frothing: Milk should be heated to a
temperature of not more than 140° F.
Fill a recipient to 1/3 with liquid.
Grasp the milk frother, immerse the rotating head of the milkfrother into the liquid, and
press the power button to activate frothing and release it to stop.
During the next 15-20 seconds, agitate the milk frother slowly in an up and down motion
while keeping the rotating head fully immersed.
After a suitable head of forth has developed, release the power button to suspend the
rotating frothing and remove the milk frother from the liquid.
4 Cleaning and Maintenance
Do not immerse the unit in water or place in the dishwasher. The appliance is best cleaned
immediately after each use. Cleaning the head: when the appliance has been used to froth a
cold liquid, the head may be cleaned in many cases by rinsing under running water. Persistent
stains may be removed by fully immersing the head into hot water in a recipient and pressing
the power button briefly. For remaining stains, a brush may be used. Note: operating of the
appliance while the rotating head is under running water, i.e. partially immersed, may cause
spattering. The casing should be cleaned by wiping with a humid cloth.
