16.11.2 Operating mode “Auftauen/Erwärmen” (Defrost/Heat)
You can gently defrost frozen food with the help of the
“Auftauautomatik" (Automatic defrost) (A-16) menu.
To set the defrost time, proceed as follows:
 Selecting the programme
Press the button Auftauen/Uhr (4) Defrost/Clock to select the
programme .Auftauen/Erwärmen Defrost/Reheat.
 Setting the weight
Turn the control dial Zeit/Menü/Gewicht (6)
Time/Menu/Weight, in accordance with the weight.
 Starting Defrost
Press the button Start (6).
► Stop the oven occasionally to remove the unthawed frozen
food or to separate it. If the frozen food has not been
defrosted after the estimated defrosting time, repeat the
step.
► Turn the food that is being defrosted around in order for it to
be defrosted evenly.
► Programme the oven in 1 minute increments, until the frozen
food is completely defrosted.
► When using plastic containers out of the deep-freeze, the
defrosting process should only last long enough to be able to
remove the frozen food out of the container, after which it
can be placed into a microwave-resistant container.
