The steaming times shown in the table apply to fresh, frozen
and unthawed seafood and fish. Wash and clean the fresh
seafood and fish before steaming them.
Almost all types of fish and seafood cook very quickly.
Steam in small portions or in the indicated quantities.
The opening times for large and small mussels and oysters
are different. Check the shells to avoid overcooking them.
Never eat mussels having shells that did not open after they
were cooked, to avoid potential fish poisoning.
Fish filets can also be steamed in the rice dish.
